Animated Books Central High School Library

Supporting Continuous Student Success

CHS Library Mission:
To develop information literate students and to foster a love of reading.

Information literacy is the ability to access, evaluate, and use information to solve a problem.

Hours

The Central High School library is open from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM, on school days. During class time, each student is required to have a Library Pass from his/her teacher to be in the library. The pass must be completely filled out before the student comes to the library.

Collection
The CHS Library collection contains:
12,000 Books +
45 Magazines Subscriptions
754+ Videos, DVDs & CDs
and a selection of books on tape

Computers

Library Policy
Book check out: Two weeks
Reference and magazine check out: Overnight
Library Fines: 10¢ per school day for books and magazines
25¢ per school day for reference material
*Lost Book Charges equal the replacement cost of the book plus a $5 processing fee.

Colorado Library Card (CLC)

CHS participates in CLC. Any person who holds a valid Colorado public library card may check out books from CHS.
